Hi everyone, sorry for the missing update last week – I was really busy trying to finish off issue 7 of Batman & Robin (out in January) and was working so hard that I actually forgot about doing a Sin Titulo strip until it was too late! Embarrassing, but that’s what happened.
Very big news this week, as you have noticed by the banner at the top, Sin Titulo took home a 2009 Joe Shuster Award for Best Webcomic. I was unable to attend the ceremony but my good friend Andy Belanger, creator of TX’s Raising Hell, accepted the award on my behalf. Video of his (funny) acceptance can be seen here. Thanks very much everyone involved with the Shusters!
This week’s strip is partially inspired by the scene in Poltergeist 2 in which Craig T. Nelson vomits up the tentacle monster, which was one of the most unsettling things I saw as a kid. I haven’t seen the movie since then but the horror of that scene has always stuck with me.
As always, you can come and discuss Sin Titulo and other stuff at the TX Forums – come and say hello!

FUCK! what the hell just went on
September 27th, 2009 at 5:30 pm
Whoa.
Believe it or not, this actually takes me back. To reading Akira, that is. The series of panel where Tetsuo kills Yamagata via telekinesis have stayed in my head for years. I think more or less made his neck explode.
September 27th, 2009 at 5:31 pm
OMG!!!
September 27th, 2009 at 5:50 pm
Last panel has captured the exact look I had on my face. Why does this installment make my heart beat so hard?!
September 27th, 2009 at 5:50 pm
oh jeez. poor alex. he can never catch a break, can he? i’m sorry to see his only ally go up in gore, even if the panel looks fantastic.
congratulations on your well deserved shuster award. sounds like willow’s laughter in that acceptance speech clip. kind of hard to hear what andy said, but i suspect that was a cameron stewart mask he slipped on.i think you need to post a transcript.
September 27th, 2009 at 6:08 pm
That’s crazy.
I love it.

Not John!
Ugh. Everyone around Alex is just going to drop like flies.
September 27th, 2009 at 8:00 pm
Congrats!!
September 27th, 2009 at 9:52 pm
Holy crap i did not see that coming.
Funny. I feel slightly guilty when, after viewing the 2nd panel of the sloppy joe face, I couldn’t help but think, “I’m melting! I’m melting!”

September 27th, 2009 at 10:46 pm
Jesus Christ!
What the heck!
September 28th, 2009 at 1:41 am
Jesus, that was unexpected! OK, now I’m really hooked…
Congratulations on the Shuster Award, Cameron. Well deserved.
September 28th, 2009 at 4:13 am
Oups!
September 28th, 2009 at 4:50 am
Hardcore puking is scary because it FEELS like you’re puking up your internal organs. Sin Titulo hardcore puking means you really DO puke yourself into oblivion!
September 28th, 2009 at 6:25 am
I take it his mind couldn’t handle “traveling” to the island.
September 28th, 2009 at 6:36 am
Congrats for the awards and another great strip. That was unexpected!
September 28th, 2009 at 7:06 am
Congrats! this is perhapes one of the best written webcomics i’ve read and my first to comment on, it really is a wonder.
September 28th, 2009 at 9:58 am
haha oh man, I totally thought he’d turn into Alex
September 28th, 2009 at 10:08 am
Whoa! I was predicting maggot filled eyes like the guy Alex met on the beach a while back but this is way more intense. I wonder what Alex will do now, I was hoping that he wouldn’t have to go spelunking in this rabbit hole alone. Anyway, thanks again Cameron for keeping us guessing and keep up the great work!
September 28th, 2009 at 1:46 pm
Whoa. This is probably my 2nd favorite comic behind….Batman and Robin! I’m excited for your upcoming arc, but I have to wonder why it’s already delayed — was Morrison late with getting you the script, were you just a little slow to draw them, or was there a situation with editorial, etc? Not that I mind waiting for quality work, I’m just curious. Anyhow, congratulations on the Shuster and the job on B&R. Thanks for making such good comics!
September 28th, 2009 at 2:02 pm
This…Just…Blew…My…Freakin’…Mind!!!
I’m still in shock! I can’t believe what just happened. In fact, my mouth is still dropped and a puddle of drool has formed at my feet.
September 28th, 2009 at 2:46 pm
Hollllyyyy shittt! I would be doing more than just staring horrified if I saw something like that! Beautiful page though!
September 28th, 2009 at 8:41 pm
That… was… wicked.
He just exploded. Ew. But awesome.
September 28th, 2009 at 8:48 pm
OMG….what the hell!? WHAT THE HELL!? I’m covered in goosebumps…and not the good kind! Wow. That is crazy scary!
September 29th, 2009 at 4:02 am
This has to be the worst reaction to a phone call I have ever seen!
Perhaps Delia is now working in Tele-Marketing…
September 29th, 2009 at 6:03 pm
Whoa. I just read this (via reddit link) and got caught up and I am seriously impressed and completely amazed. Keep up the awesome work.
September 29th, 2009 at 10:46 pm
AAAAAAAAAAH! Strongest reaction I’ve ever had to a webcomic methinks.
Also congrats!
September 30th, 2009 at 2:52 pm
Oh man, I think you just broke my heart with what happened to John. That just makes me sad. Amazing comic, can’t wait to see what happens next!
September 30th, 2009 at 8:35 pm
Just read your work from beginning to present. Chalk yourself up one more fan.
October 1st, 2009 at 3:43 am
Yeah, I’m gonna second what ChuckBuried said… I’m actually hoping this is all a hallucination or a horrible nightmare for Alex now, and I’m usually against that sort of plot twist. *waits for next update*
October 1st, 2009 at 6:43 am
Damn, alone again. I suppose Murphy’s Law could only be put off so long, seeing as it’s Alex. The first time I read it, I thought John was vomiting ink, since his face had a smeared look, like rubbing a finger over a wet drawing. The fact of his entire upper torso exploding made me reconsider.
Great comic! It’s wonderful/terrible when you can spoil yourself with a full archive of comics and then have to shiver like a junkie for the next post.
October 1st, 2009 at 11:07 pm
Just read them all and by far this is the biggest cliff hanger of the story. My prediction? He wakes up with the other guy with some people from the organization around him. Although it would be much cooler if this is reality and he is basically fucked. Wicked shit man!
October 2nd, 2009 at 9:02 am
Wow. After re-reading the comics, I just recalled the waitress smudging John’s picture of the tree, and it reminds me a lot of john’s face smudging. “hope that wasn’t important” she says. Hrmmm….am I grasping at straws here?
October 4th, 2009 at 1:02 am
THAT WAS SERIOUSLY FREAKING MORE THAN I NEEDED TO SEE!!!
October 4th, 2009 at 4:58 am
Oooooo I think Chuck has something there… O_O
October 4th, 2009 at 10:29 am
wow!
once again you bring a devestating cliff hanger for us all to drool over.
great job! these panals are epic.
panel 8 is what all of us looked like after reading the 1st 7
October 4th, 2009 at 3:42 pm
I just started reading “Sin titulo” and it’s much different then I thought it would be. Somehow, I had an idea that it was probably a surreal work, but actually following the story from the beginning to the last update, I got a very different idea. Your work reminds me not so much of “Lost”, but a kind of “Prisoner” meets “the Machinist”, as told by Steven King. I’ll keep reading
October 6th, 2009 at 7:01 pm
OH MY GOD WHAT DID SHE SAY D:
October 11th, 2009 at 3:29 pm
Need an update desperately! Please publish the next page soon.
October 14th, 2009 at 8:42 am

This one of the best webcomics I’ve ever read. seriously.
October 14th, 2009 at 12:56 pm
Wow, I’m away for a few weeks and THIS happens? Awsome.
October 14th, 2009 at 3:00 pm
Reads like a great film.
October 15th, 2009 at 9:18 pm
Ugh,
too bad so sad.
October 21st, 2009 at 8:12 am
Is Alex against a wall in the last panel… or is that someone RIGHT BEHIND HIM??
October 29th, 2009 at 5:15 am
Whatever you’re currently working on better be good, because not getting the next installment for this long is KILLING me!
November 2nd, 2009 at 1:57 pm
I love the fact that the explosion is represented as an asterisk, fucking creepy.
November 25th, 2009 at 12:00 pm
I sincerely hope this isn’t the end of the series. Granted, it would be a hell of a ballsy ending: enigmatic, shocking, and for damned sure going out with a bang instead of a whimper, but… what the hell is going on?!
December 2nd, 2009 at 9:13 pm
OH GOD WHAT HAPPENED????
Just started reading this story today, and I have to say its the best webcomic I’ve ever read. What a fucking time to start reading though, eh?
December 8th, 2009 at 12:59 am
why are you not updating? the suspense is killing me!
December 16th, 2009 at 9:04 pm
Okay, I just started this about an hour and a half ago, and… Jesus damn, this is intense. One of the most intriguing things I’ve ever read; I’m so stoked for the next update.
December 17th, 2009 at 10:40 am
Come on you are killing me here. You can’t just make someone’s head explode and then stop the strip. Please continue.
Please

January 24th, 2010 at 10:44 am
I can get behind any comic where a main character explodes.
February 11th, 2010 at 10:09 pm
…the end?…
February 14th, 2010 at 8:40 am
Oh my god, why the HELL does it end here?
February 24th, 2010 at 6:43 pm
Man, please keep it up! Amazing style and intriguing story. In case you need any translation to Portuguese or Spanish, drop a line!
February 26th, 2010 at 5:51 pm
Hey man, you need back soon, we need read more. Pls!
February 27th, 2010 at 9:09 pm
I’m new here, wow.
Thanks.
July 12th, 2010 at 11:32 am
Lurker mode off. I can’t count how many times I went “Whaaaat the fuuuuu…?” while reading this. Btw, I’m reading from the beginning after the Kate Beaton twitter recommendation.
This is so good.
August 5th, 2010 at 9:05 am
Thank you! It’s defenitely one of the best (or even just “best”) web-comic I ever read. Can’t stop reading this. You got fans in Russia now )
